Local Cataract Surgery begins
The local CHP is
delighted to announce that the first batch of cataract operations has
taken place in Caithness General Hospital, Wick. This is great news
not only for Caithness General but also for those who find it difficult to
make the long road journey to Raigmore for surgery. Places are
limited and demand expected to be high but patients are bound to feel
their choices are greatly improved.
We are pleased to be accredited as a
part of the new cataract care pathway, providing both a referral service
and aftercare service for patients with cataract, pre and post
operatively, linking to the ophthalmologists at Raigmore.
