School. Gained
BSc(Hons) in 1982 from Glasgow Caledonian University (formerly Glasgow College
of Technology). Has had independent own practice in Thurso since 1984, initially
in Sir John's Square, then Traill
Street, before moving to current location in
Sir George's Street. |

Regularly attends refresher
courses and is a firm believer in Continuing Education and Training.

optometrists practicing in the Highland Health Board area to be included in
the General Optical Council's Continuing Education List for contact lenses. |

He is an accredited optometrist
for the Highland Health Board's Diabetic
Retinopathy Screening Programme. |
 | In addition, he is approved to conduct visual
field testing for the DVLA |

Current special interests include
children's eyecare generally and dyslexia in particular, vision and the ageing
eye, and bifocal contact lenses |
