at the heart of my practice. |
| We are fully committed to
providing our patients with a comprehensive eye examination,
fulfilling if not exceeding the requirements of the Scottish NHS
eye examination. |
| We allow adult patients at
least 30 minutes per eye examination appointment, explain
our findings, answer questions, provide copies of their
prescription after the eye examination, give advice on frame and
lens options without sales pressure, explain and clarify
pricing, explain procedures carried out and provide a locally
based long-term follow up for any issues arising, and an
adjustment/repair service afterwards. |
| We supply contact lenses in
accordance with the current legislation and encourage patients
to follow our recommendations on health and hygiene. As
independent optometrists, we
are able to supply any lenses. |
| We continually invest large
sums of money in new and innovative equipment for the benefit of
patients, something I feel is especially important given the
distance from eye hospitals. |
| We train our team to assist
patients not only in the selection of appropriate eyewear but
also to answer some common concerns and provide information
about eye conditions. |
| Our reception team are
trained to carry out a wide range of basic repairs and
adjustments. |
| As an independent practice we
aim to provide excellent eyecare and aftercare, and provide
continuous training for our team. We learn by experience
as well, changing procedures to benefit the patient, and
listening to patients' suggestions and requests.

possibly can. |
